Follow this schedule to buy a home by the exact time you want it!

What better way to make fun memories than by moving into a beautiful new home with your family?

If you’re wanting to move during a specific time to either enjoy the summer or the holidays in your new home, just follow this schedule!

Home Buying Schedule!

Four months away: Connect with your agents. Let your Realtor know your goals and have them educate you on the current market you are hoping to enter. If you don’t have one already, you can ask your Realtor to connect you with their trusted mortgage agent to get a pre-approval.

Three months away: Start the search! With your agent secured and pre-approval in hand, you can start the house hunting. Your agent will help you identify the best listings based on your individual needs and goals through research and private showings. The best thing to do in this month is to keep an open mind–you might see homes that you never would have expected to love but they might just be perfect for you!

Two months away: You find a home you love, make an offer on it and move towards making it a firm deal by delivering the deposit and fulfilling any conditions. Once the deal is firm, you can connect with a real estate lawyer right away and then call around to schedule your move (ideally not on your closing day)!

One month away: Organize for your new life in your new home! Have your walk throughs to take measurements and ensure the property is being maintained, forward your mail, set up your new utilities and ensure your finances and lawyer reviews are coming together as planned.

CLOSING DAY: Close, get your keys and celebrate!

In just a few short months, you can be in a new home, ready to make a fantastic new memories!
